This Spear point was found in the Silver River near Ocala Florida.  It was turned over to a Ranger after photographs.  I was told that it is Marion style dating back to the Middle Archaic period ( 7000 - 3000 B.P.(Before Present))   Some could see it as a Newnan style point, same time period, but the main difference is a rounded base ( Marion ) vs. a straight base ( Newnan ).
