This is a fine example of one US Divers earliest capillary gauges.  It dates from the early to mid 50s and was very simple.  Note the 2 elastic bands used to strap it to the divers arm.  I this the orientation is actually very intuitive if the gauge is worn on the inside of the forearm.  This gauge is on loan from a private collection.
